Why does the name "Contacts", in the My Contacts section, sometimes have a
number in parentheses after it? Usually there is no number, but today it had
(3).
I have added 2 more contacts and now it has (11) after the name.

What does the number signify?

it means unread items in that folder. It's just like the (9) in your Inbox.
Select all Contacts and mark them as Read to get rid of it.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

Imagine if every Thursday your shoes exploded if you tied them the usual
way. This happens to us all the time with computers, and nobody thinks of
complaining.
