need help importing a contact file

Default need help importing a contact file

i am trying to import a contact list. the file is a .csv
file. everytime i try i get this error message:

"File was not recognized. It could be the wrong file, a
version of the file type which is not supported by the
translator, or the file might be corrupt."


HELP ME, its not any of those options!!!

Default need help importing a contact file

If the CSV file was created with something like Excel - then I'd suggest
re-installing your import drivers in Outlook. If the file has been created
by another program - suggest you make sure it's a valid CSV file (not
everything is created equal). One thing to try is opening the file in Excel.
If it opens up correctly then just re-save it and try importing again. If
Outlook still can't import - then you more then likely have a direct Outlook
issue ( available import drivers) as mentioned initially.
