Default Building Distribution list

In Outlook, to build a distribution list does every name first have to be in
the Address Book?

I have a list of 25 email addresses I just want to cut and past to a
distribution list, something I did easily in Eudora for years.

Default Building Distribution list

If you really think a DL is a good idea (it usually isn't), you can make one
with a list of names and addresses:
