I have problem whenever I am writing ant text whilst in desng view of a
form. The cursor always selects everything ,whenever I click anywhere in the
text .

The "EXT" sign is shown in the lower right hand corner of the screen,

Can anyone tell me how to get out of this mode?

You should be able to have the cursor go either to the front or back of the
control by clicking Tools Options Keyboard and making the appropriate
choices there.

EXT stands for Extended Select mode, or something like that. Pressing F8
repeatedly while in a text box on a form extends the selection first to the
word, then to the field. In datasheet view it extends it further to the
record, then to all records. Press ESC to make it go away.
