PowerPoint presenter view quit working

I'm running PowerPoint 2003 on multiple monitors, and have used the
presenter view several times previously. Now when I start my slide show, it
flashes a grey box for 1 or 2 seconds, the powerpoint presenter view title
box shows on the task bar, but it doesn't show on my screen. Neither left or
right clicking on the task bar box brings up anything. I've checked all the
moniter settings and the set up show settings and they're all correct. I've
used the repair function and the uninstall and reinstall, and still get the
same thing. Can anyone suggest anything?
