Can the month view in calendar be changed to show only weekdays? Very little
space in the 2007 version. No need to have weekends visible. I can't find
the how to make changes.

I don't believe that's possible, but right-click in an empty area of the
calendar and choose Other Settings. Is there a "Compress weekend days"
check box? (I'm not at my OL 2007 system to look right now.)
