Default AutoCAD & Visio import, export, save as dwg not working

I am using AutoCAD and Visio to create a flow chart using imported CAD data
from AutoCAD. I was able to import the CAD data and now I want to SAVE AS
DWG and use the flow chart with all imported clipart, CAD files, etc. in
AutoCAD.

When I try the SAVE AS DWG it only saves the flow chart shapes, text, lines,
etc. It does not save all the CAD data that was imported. It saved one
imported CAD item and when I open the file in AutoCAD the CAD opject is
scaled way off compared to the rest of the flow chart.

What are the tricks to this?

When working with Visio and CAD objects it should be saved in the AutoCAD
2000 format. Also take notes certain shapes may generate some problems such
as special fonts or polylines. If you insert metafiles into a Visio drawing
and attempt to convert it to dwg or dxf these objects will be dropped. In
regards to scaling there is not enough information about the options you
are using when the objects are imported however you may want to review the
link below.
