=Date()

I have a subform with a textbox bound to a date field and it's default value
set to =Date(). This defaults the textbox to the current system date on my
computer here at home, but when I try
to use it on 2 other computers, I get an error indication of '#NAME?'. When
I try to look up the Date() function in Access help, it's not there even
though the function is created using the Access expression builder. The vb
help system does list the function. Is this an Access function or not? If
so why does it work on one machine and not on others? If not why is it in
the Access expression builder? And finally, does this sort of thing leave
anyone else cussing MS?

You most likely have missing references on the machines where you have this
problem.
