Default Word 2002 as part of Office XP Pro

Using Word 2002 and inserting a Table - the table breaks up, i,e, a 5 row
table, breaks up and spreads itself over the whole page, not as seperate
boxes but as 'n' shaped boxes - no base line. Detect & Repair does not sort
it. Uninstalling and re-installing does not sort it. My theory now is that
the cause is SP3, but why? And how do you sort it, other than uninstalling
SP3 and Word and then re-installing Word? Any help with this will be
gratefully received - it's driving me nuts!

Thanks, DC4tea
