What are you filling? I can't duplicate this issue. Even if I select a bitmap
the sliders work, of course nothing happens. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "just ducky" wrote in message ... I want to soften gradient fills by using the transparency sliders, but they are not active. |

How to activate transparency sliders to a gradient
In a newsletter for print, I am selecting an Oval, going to fill effects
menu, choosing gradient, choose two colors and there is where the transparency sliders are grayed-out, or just move, but return back without doing anything (the % boxes don't work at all). How to activate transparency sliders to a gradient
Are you using a trial version? Do you have Process colors CMYK enabled in the
Commercial printing? Transparency will not work if this is the case. If you do not have Process colors go to the web site of your graphics card and look around for an upgraded driver. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "just ducky" wrote in message ... This is not a trial version, CMYK enabled. when I press CTRL plus T my oval
disappears and leaves "+"? does that have anything to do with it? "Mary Sauer" wrote: Are you using a trial version? Do you have Process colors CMYK enabled in the Commercial printing? How to activate transparency sliders to a gradient
If you have selected process CMYK and have specified commercial printing (tools,
commercial printing) transparency will not work and the sliders will be dimmed. When was the last time you checked to see if your graphics driver is current? Take a look at FAQ #4 he http://ed.mvps.org/Static.aspx?=Publisher/FAQs -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "just ducky" wrote in message ...
