is it possible to assign a hot ket to a switchboard button??

Default hot keys

Under tables, open the Switchboard Items table. You can modify the
'ItemText' values - Put a & in front of whatever letter you want to be the
hotkey.

Take care that you don't create a conflict/duplicate with another item or an
item on your menubar.
