Default Layout Tab disappeared

In Word 2007, the Layout Tab suddenly disappeared from view at the top of the
screen where the other tabs are located (that is, where the "Home" "Insert"
"Page Layout" etc. tabs are located, the "Layout" tab that was located there
until this morning, suddenly disappeared). How can I return this tab to the
screen? Thank you

The layout tab is context sensitive - try clicking in a table.
