Rendering Word Document as Mail Body
Hello all,
We are having the following issue with MS Outlook 2003 / Word 2003 and SBS 2003 Fax Services: When sending a Word Document from within MS Word by using "Print..." to \\server\Fax the fax render correctly (preserves format etc). When we use MS Word mail merge and send the same (merged) document through Outlook, the fax is sent but the format is messed up. I guess that means that Outlook does the rendering instead of Word and it does it in HTML format which results in the mess. Is there a known workaround or a way to instruct Outlook to let Word do the rendering? Any thoughts? TIA, Tasos |

Rendering Word Document as Mail Body
Outlook has no rendering ability. Neither does the Fax Service. You will
need to have a printto verb defined for the attachment type you are attempting to render. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote in message oups.com... Rendering Word Document as Mail Body
Thank you for your reply Russ.
The document is actually a Word document after a mail-merge but it's not attached; it is in the body of the message. That's why I guessed that Outlook would render it. I don't think I can attach the result of a mail merge, Word will put it in the body of the message. Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] : Outlook has no rendering ability. Neither does the Fax Service. Rendering Word Document as Mail Body
Then it isn't still a Word document any longer, or else Word would render
it. Examine the format of the message and see if you have a printto verb defined for that file type.
