Default Search criteria not passing to subforms

I have an cmd button on my switchboard that opens a form based on criteria
from a text box on my switchboard. I have 4 nested subforms on my form and
while the form opens correctly and the Main Form displays the found record
correctly, the subforms show blank. If the user tries to reenter the info -
a duplicate ID (pk) error pops up. The Main form and all subs have
one-to-one relationships. How can I do this command of opening w/ specific
criteria and the system automatically transfer it through all of the
subforms? Thanks so much!

Do you have the Master and Child Link Field properties set correctly for the
subforms? What are their Recordsources?

I figured out that I had changed the DataEntry property to Yes and had just
forgotten to change them back on the subforms... Thanks so much though for
trying to help...just got a little scatterbrained!
