Default Template - event journal

I need to record daily events occuring against each job number. Each event
is to be categorised according to type so the appropriates reports can be
generated. Ideally the input form will provide for the job number to be
input with the job names being generated to the screen via a lookup table.

Has anyone got a template that could be simply amended to permit tailoring
to my specific requirements.

Yours is a very simple application which must be very customized to your use.

The folks who respond on this quorum could probably design your application
from scratch in 5 minutes, or spend 2 hours trying to find. learn and and
tell you how to adapt a "template"

If you don't get an answer on a template, you might want to repost asking
for design help.

Thanks Fred,

I know that it is a "simple" application. The problem is that if you are
trying to learn Access the books do not appear to provide direct answers to
the question "how do I do this" when the problem is not directly related to
one of the databases contained in their text.

I have another problem which you may know the answer. When you replied I
was sent a message with a hot link to this thread. When I click on the hot
link I get a new Microsoft Internet Brower (version 7) but the connection to
the thread is not made and I cannot find out why. I have even uninstalled my
internet security (and re-installed it).

Any Ideas?

Can't help on the IE7; I use Firefox.

By "simple", I didn't mean to imply that it should be simple for you. If I
was implying anything it was that you would be better off asking for forum
for help instead of asking for a template.
