Default Read Only Subform remove downdown option on combo fields

Hello!

I'm trying to remove the drop down option from a subform. The subform is
set to read only. Each field has been enabled and locked. Why does it still
show the dropdown option for the combo box fields? I can't get this feature
to go away.

My boss has specfically asked me to remove this and I can't seem to find the
feature in formating that removes this.

Help!

Delete the object and replace with a regular text box, set source the same as
drop down was bound to.

You might see numbers instead of names so you will need to join the table
with names on the ID field in your query that feeds the form. Then set
source to name field.
