cannot access Outlook to change account settings
Outlook keeps trying to use exchange server and I am using it at home. I have
tried selecting work offline and then another box pops up stating it cannot access my default email files. It forces me to close it then. |

cannot access Outlook to change account settings
If this is not effective, try creating a new profile.
- Click Start, and click Control Panel. Click Mail icon. (If you use VISTA select the Classic View to see the MAIL applet) - Click Show Profiles - In the "When starting Microsoft Office Outlook, use this profile:" area, please select "Prompt for a profile to be used" - Click Add and type the new profile name as you like in the Profile name box. NOTE: Do NOT use the same name as your original profile. - Click Next and click Finish. - Try to open Outlook. Choose the new profile in the profile list and click OK. Thank you both. I finally was able to figure out that since I was using a
64-bit, the mail applet was in another location. "ssemerson" wrote: Outlook keeps trying to use exchange server and I am using it at home. I have tried selecting work offline and then another box pops up stating it cannot access my default email files. It forces me to close it then. |
