Default How do I autoformat thousand seperator in Word tables?

I know in Excel you can format your numbers automatically to show the
thousand seperators. I'd like the same thing to happen in Word. Either that
or I'd like the thousand seperator (comma) to appear on the number keypad.
That way when I'm typing a row of numbers, I don't have to cut across the
keyboard to add in the thousands seperator.
