Default MPEG is to dark when played in presentation

I am using Office XP version 2002.

The mpeg plays fine in windows media player but when I play it in the
presentation it is very dark. I can lighten the picture that shows before you
click to run the video but when the video starts it gets very dark and hard
to see.

Any clues?

Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like an incompatible codec. This tutorial should help you.
