Default Merging Microsoft Outlook Contacts

To Whom It May Concern:

I have entered information in my contacts, and was
trying to merge a label, envelope, or letter. I went and
clicked on Tools, Mail Merge, chose all contacts, and new
document. Under Main Document, I clicked Set Up,
selected a Product Number, and clicked okay. Under Data
Source, I clicked Get Data, Use Address Book, Outlook
Book, and clicked okay. I got a message saying "A
required file "schdmapi.dll" could not be loaded. Please
check your e-mail installation and re-install Microsoft
if necessary. I also have Outlook Express on my
computer. I hope you will be able to give me an answer
soon. I have someone that I need to pass this message
onto. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Rhonda,

are you using Netscape? I only found this site about your problem:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=198298

Maybe it helps.

Hi Oliver,

In reply to your e-mail message, no I do not use Netscape. Do you have any idea why this message appeared? I would like to know how I can get pass the Data Source, so that I can make this work. I've also experience this same problem on another computer with a different error message, which I don't recall what that message was. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Rhonda,

what Outlook, Word and windows version are you using?

I found the following websites with the "schdmapi.dll" Error:

(Error in Schdmapi.dll When Accessing Outlook Express Address Book)
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;232461

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in Schdmapi.dll at: NOTE: address may
vary
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=178481

Interesting is also this site:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~bogaarts/versions.htm

search for Schedule+ v.7.5 this is also using the schdmapi.dll. It is
integrated in Office 97.

The best is to search in google for: schdmapi.dll, thius is what i had have
done.

Hi Oliver,

This is my second reply to your response in regards to my e-mail. There is another computer that I've tried this on, and that computer is Windows Professional 2000 and Microsoft Outlook 2002. What do I need to do to make this work. Please respond.
Thanks,

Rhonda

Rhonda,

[....]
I don't know that by having Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook that
there might be some confusion between the two.

It is not regular problem between Outlook and Outlook Express. Millions of
users have both products installed. I too. If you get an error with an DLL
like the "schdmapi.dll", it seems that a third product could have a problem
with Outlook Express and/or Outlook. This third product is the reason, i
think, why you get this message. Now you have to find out which programm use
this "schdmapi.dll". I don´t know which programs you have installed, so I
send you the links to some websites with information about this DLL.

It could be a problem, with Outlook Express or Word (see my posting before)
, but it also could be a problem with the Schedule+
http://www.xs4all.nl/~bogaarts/versions.htm

Did you visited this website? Did you check if you have Schedule+
installed? Also the correct version.
I can give you only some information where are some errors listed, It is not
possible for me to give you a step by step support for a problem that I
never had.

You get the message:
I got a message saying "A required file "schdmapi.dll" could not be loaded
Did you search on your harddisk, if you have this dll?
Did you try the Windows/Office repairtool?

If I would get this message I would at first search for this DLL, or would
try the repair function of Windows/Office. Than I would have a look to the
websites that I get and would search for Schedule+ on my computer under
installed software or programs.

If there is something missing on your computer, I would try to find what he
is searching/asking for.

Do you have Schedule+ on your computer?
Did you find the dll?
Did you try the repair function of the CD´s?
