Hi,

Is there a way I can make a presentation viewable to the slide order I choose.

Instead of playing the next slide when the mouse is clicked I would like it
to jump to a slide of my choosing.

So the presentation would not go slide 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 etc

It would go Slide 1 then slide 5 then slide 6 then slide 3.

Any ideas?

This is a great question and a common problem. How to solve the "out of sequence" questions that presenters get asked during a presentation and how to avoid taking Q&A at the end of the presentation. If you can respond immediately, your audience will be more engaged. The answer is to make a non-linear presentation with a tree (or hierarchical) structure that allows the presenter to click on a Web like menu on the slide which takes them to the section or slide of interest as required by the flow the presentation session takes.

You can do this in PowerPoint with hyperlinking to and from slides. But if you want to create a non-linear presentation with a tree or hierarchical structure, it can be very time consuming to do this manually, especially when you start having more than 10 slides since the number of links you need to manage is an exponential function of the number of slides.

One alternative is to use an add-in such as ActivePresentation Designer (available at http://www.activepresentation.com) to create the tree structure and links across the slides in your presentation. This adds a multi-levelled interactive non-linear menu bar (like a Web site) to the top or bottom of your slides and you can click on the items in the menu bar to jump to various slides in your presentation.
