Your sound files must be .wav files in order to embed in the PowerPoint.
Cdex will convert your mp3s to a .wav (well, really it adds a header to the mp3 making PPT think it's a wav). Sandy "Bob" wrote: I send power point e-mails, but the sound never is sent with it |

Only a .wav formatted audio file can be embedded. All other formats are
linked and the sound file must be sent with the presentation. Here is some info: http://pptblog.tlccreative.com/index...an_be_embedded You can also do a search for ".wav" on ThePowerPointBlog for lots of info and tutorials. -- Troy TLC Creative Services, Inc. The differences between embed and link, please view: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/po...303071033.aspx Solution: 1. Put the sound files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same folder. 2. Reinsert the sound file to the PowerPoint presentation. 3. Package the entire folder into one archive file and send it to others. Do not create self-extracting (SFX) archive since most email block EXE files by default. WinZip and WinRAR are both recommended to archive your presentation files for emailing perfectly. you could view more details about how to email presentation to others perfectly. http://www.sameshow.com/ppt2flash/em...ectly.html#110 Regards |

Bob,
If you want to embed the audio file - first go to the "Button" in the upper left - go to Options - Click Advanced - scroll down - to the Save line - you will see the line Link sounds with the file size greater than: _____KB- change this number to a size larger than your largest sound file - click OK - You will need to reinsert all the audio file(s) then save your PPT. Now the sound files will be imbedded into your PowerPoint and not linked. Susan "Bob" wrote in message ... I send power point e-mails, but the sound never is sent with it |
