Default Outlook update did not copy emails and contacts

Hi Sue,

I am in the outlook today, but I am not really sure where
to look for its properties or the file names. Can you
help? Do you mean up in the normal menu bar, or am I
looking in the wrong place?

What were the exact steps you followed? Outlook doesn't

do anything to your
data when you upgrade, not even copying the data, which

would be in the same
place.

Look in the Properties for Outlook Today, under

Advanced, and tell us the
file name of your .pst file.

I simply followed the installation procedures (which

had
always worked in the past when upgrading outlook).

That's
why I am a little shocked now, that all my contacts are
gone. The new Outlook did however copy my POP3
information.

What steps did you use to perform the upgrade?

I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003.

Unfortunately
it did not copy the contacts and emails that I had

in
outlook 2000. Is there any way I can still SOMEHOW

get
to
those emails and contacts or are they totally lost?

To view the Properties dialog for any folder, including Outlook Today,
right-click it and choose Properties. Or, select that folder and choose File
| Folder | Properties.
