Default Unsolvable problem?

I recently installed Windows XP Home on top of Windows
98. Even though I have reinstalled Office 2000 in XP I
cannot access the old Outlook messages that existed when
I was running 98. Can I assume that they are gone forever
and there is no way to now access them?

If you did an in-place upgrade, your old Personal Folder set is still there -- you just have to find it.

Click Start Search and look for all files with the extension *.PST -- be sure to cick the "Advanced" button and include hidden folders and files.

Once you find your old PST, copy the path then use it to open the folder set from within Outlook by clicking "File Open Outlook Data File. You can make it your default folder set too if you like.
