Default Printing color from Powerpoint

We are having great difficulty in our shop printing BLUE to our HP Designjet
5500ps from Powerpoint which comes out PURPLE. If it is a solid background,
no problem, we can make a fill box with a color we discovered through testing
that prints to blue. The problem comes when it is a texture or picture, like
a sky with fluffy clouds that comes out purple! We have tried switching the
color profile to sRGB like Powerpoint has, but no go. We have also switched
from Productivity setting to Max Quality setting and Max Quality +enhanced IQ
to no avail. Even if we make the file into a PDF it prints purple. We do not
have this problem with any other program, ie Publisher, Photoshop, etc.
Please help, we are at our wits end trying to figure out how to make our
blues come out blue!

Do you also have the same results when printing from other Office
applications (Word, Excel, etc.)?

Hi Troy, sorry I did not get back to you yesterday.

When we get files for poster making it is largly in Powerpoint, Publisher, a
PDF or Photoshop. I will have to test how Word and Excel do. The nice thing
about Publisher is it has the choice of both RGB and CMYK so you can choose
the format you want.

Thanks for helping us and I am going to go send some tests from Word and
Excel.

Take care!!!
