Looping slides

(PowerPoint 2000)
I have a presentation containing 30 slides. I want to initially run from
slide 1 to 30 but then after reaching slide 30 I want the presentation to
return to slide 15 and then run on a continuous loop between slides 15 to
30. Is this possible?

Not only possible, it's pretty easy.

Step 1. -- Hide slides 1 thru 14
Change to the slide sorter view and select slide 1 thru 14. Either, right
click and select "Hide slide", or select from the pulldown menus
lideShow - Hide Slide.

Step 2. -- Set the presentation to loop
In the same pulldown menu, select Set-Up Show and check the box in the
resulting dialog for 'Loop continuously until Esc'

Step 3. -- Start the show from slide 1
Select slide 1 and click on the small icon in the lower left section of the
window that looks like a screen (well sort of anyway). This will start you
from the current slide. If you had PowerPoint 2003, you could use the
keyboard shortcut of Shift+F5 instead of the clicking the little icon.

Results:
You will start the show on slide 1, progress to 2, 3, 4 etc. (PowerPoint
allows for runs of hidden slides). This will progress normally, from one
slide to the next until you reach slide 30, after which your presentation
will loop back to the first non-hidden slide (15).

Hi Bill... thanks for your help however, I can't see any icon to the bottom
left of the slide and when running the show, it starts from slide 15. Any
ideas??

It's in the lower left corner of the PowerPoint window under the slide
outline. There are several icons and as you run your mouse over them, the
words "slide show" should pop up. You'll have to click on the icon because
the hidden slides won't show any other way. If you're going to use music in
your looped slides, you may want to consider using a custom show instead of
the hidden slides method. See:

You'll also need to add Advance Automatically After X seconds to the slide
transitions of slides 15 -30 and under Set Up Show, make sure the Advance
Slides using timings, if present is selected.
