Subform has disappeared from Main form
I had a subform on a form and it had been working for quite some time. It
was a Purchase order which was place on the customers original form. For some reason the information for the subform has disappeared. When I open the main customer form in design view there is a blank white block where the subform was. When I look back at the form and then go back into design view, the subform is there and the link child and master fields are correct. When I go back to the form, the subform is blank. It only shows up when a customer has had a previous purchase order. Any ideas? -- Ronnie |

Subform has disappeared from Main form
Hi Ronnie,
This can occur if you have a subform that is set to not allow additions. Don't worry about the white square appearing in design view - simply open the subform directly for editing. You only really need to be concerned about how the form behaves when being used. Damian. "Ronnie" wrote: I had a subform on a form and it had been working for quite some time. Subform has disappeared from Main form
It is set to allow additions. It was there one day and then it was gone. I
can view it directly from the subform and all appears fine. When I go to the main form, it is not there on customers who have never had a purchase order listed. Customers who have already had purchase orders are there. -- Ronnie "Damian S" wrote: Hi Ronnie, This can occur if you have a subform that is set to not allow additions. Subform has disappeared from Main form
Hi again,
Try opening the query belonging to your subform and see if it allows you to add a new record. Perhaps you are using a non-updateable query to power the form? D. I can add a record to the subform when it is not in the main form. I cannot
add a record to the query. -- Ronnie "Damian S" wrote: Hi again, Try opening the query belonging to your subform and see if it allows you to add a new record.
