Default how do I delete add's not in contact but appear in send to line

When I type part of an name (pp) in the "send to" line, a list of addresses
appear for me to select from. 4 of those addresses were removed (deleted)
from my contact list and address book over a year ago but continue to appear
and only when I type part of a name. I have tried right click & properties
but this does not give me a delete option . How can I delete them
permanently.?

Use the down-arrow to select the entry you don't want, then press the Delete
key.
