Can Shrink property

I have a 4 control/line address in a report that will not adjust vertically
if a field is blank, even though the Can Shrink property is set to Yes in all
controls. The reason is that I also have some other controls to the right of
the address. Is there a way to get the Can Shrink property to work when
other controls must be positioned to the right of the ones you want to shrink?
