Default Error in Access switchboard; pushing F11 doesn't help. Help!

I have created a switchboard in Access; the rest of the database is hidden.
Trying to create a command to open another switchboard, i made an error, and
now cannot get anything but the original switchboard to come up, with its
resulting error message, "the object doesn't contain the automation object".
Pushing F11 does not bring up the hidden forms as it did before.

How can I again access my data?

Hold down the shift key as you open the database.

This is one of the first things I tried, but it didn't work either. I was
finally able to push Alt F11 to bring up the VBA debugger, and somehow fixed
it
