Default cannot communicate with OLE server program

I just installed Office Publisher 2007. I had publisher 2000. Most of my
publisher 2000 documents had wordart in them. When I open a 2000 file and
try to work in one of those wordart boxes, this is what always comes up:
"Publisher cannot launch or communicate with the OLE server program needed to
complete this task"
I am not able to do anything within those wordart boxes and they won't let
me go to my old microsoft publisher 2000 program to do it either. I have
almost all of my labels for my business on some type of wordart and I need to
be able to work on these documents. I thought this program would be
compatible with 2000 or otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.
Please advise. Thanks
