Cutoffs after Conversion
I've designed a standard sized business card (3.5x2) to be sent to the
printer. Per the instructions on their site for full bleed, I added .125 to the size of the card which ended up being 3.625x2.125. I also added a bit more space in the margin of the text boxes as a safety zone. I am have Office 2007 though the Publisher program looks the same as Office 2003, which is odd because all of the other programs in 2007 uses ribbons. When I print/save the file as a .tiff, .pdf or jpeg, the program cuts off the edges of the card. The .tiff version shows white in place of the parts that have been truncated. How do I save the file for printing so that nothing is cut off? |

Download the Microsoft PDF add-in
https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...displaylang=en When you are finished creating your card, *save as* PDF, Click the change button, Click the Print Options button. Thanks Mary. I downloaded/installed the software, closed out/restarted
publisher & gave it a try but there isn't a change button. Also, when I did the Save As', PDF wasn't an option. I toyed around in the print option section but it didn't work for me. I keep feeling like I'm working in 2003 instead of 2007. Especially since the face of Publisher looks the same. Does that make a difference? Publisher 2007 doesn't have the ribbon and it does look about the way it has
looked for years. The PDF converter from Microsoft is really very good. There is a change button when you *save as* a PDF. I created a card using the dimensions you posted and it worked perfectly. I can't say why you don't have the option. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Renee B." wrote in message ... Thanks Mary. I believe she said she was working in 2007. If she is working in 2003 then the

Thanks Mary. I am working in 2007. I was just surprised not to see the
ribbons. I must have missed something when downloading/installing the update you recommended so I'll give it another try this evening. I forgot to mention that Vista is my operating system. Hopefully it's user error and not the operating system causing the problem. Thanks Again! "Mary Sauer" wrote: I believe she said she was working in 2007. Thanks Geoff. I'm using Publisher 2007. The lack of ribbons is what threw me.

There ARE NO ribbons in Publisher 2007, no matter how you install it.
