How do I create a fairly simple hotel booking system?
I am looking to create a simple booking system for a hotel with 9 rooms.
With the current system, customers telephone and ask for the dates they require and their required occupancy. This is looked up in a paper based calendar book and the customer is booked into a room for their required dates if a room is available. I then send a hand typed letter with an invoice. I would like to create a computer based system revolving around the same principles as the current system. Where by i would like to have mail merge letters and computer calculated invoices printed off via the database. The database should show which customers are booked into what rooms. Therefore i would like to be able to query this, so when a customer rings, I can check if there is a room available. I already have some limited knowledge of MS Access and any help would be greatly appreciated. |
