Default Alternative to using 10 V-lookup formulas

I have table with sales data.
The user types in the classes they want to sum....they can type up to 10
classes.
How can I avoid having to write a formula to sum ten V-lookups?

Well, it would help if you provided some details!

The user types in the classes they want to sum....
they can type up to 10 classes.

OK, let's assume that is the range A1:A10

E1:E100 is classes
F1:F100 is values to sum

=SUMPRODUCT(SUMIF(E1:E100,A1:A10,F1:F100))
