Default Copy, Paste special (Value) Very slow

I am experiencing something strange. I often have to VLOOKUP on worksheets containing around 10 000 rows. VLOOKUP work well but after that, when I try to do a copy then paste (special as Value) of the return column it may take 5 sec or often 2 to 5 min. Why it is sometime taking so much more time doing the same function.

Any ideas? It makes me losing time when I have to do a VLOOKUP on 5 to 10 different column. (Each of them containing around 10 000 rows and the same data type)

Hi
sounds like the re-calculation takes a while. One way: Before copying
data disable automatic calculation and enable it again afterwards

Unfortunately, I already tried to disabled automatic calculation and it does the exact same thing. It will sometime goes faster with 10 000 rows than 6 000 rows. I really have no clue of where the problem comes from. At first I though there was a problem with my PC but others who works with me noticed the same things.

Is there something related with the amount of data in the clipboard! If it is ... is there a way to manually empty it? This is the only thing that comes up to my mind right now.
