Default .pst file missing!!?!

When I open outlook, it tells me the file "outlook.pst" is missing and all my
folders & emails are gone!!
I tried using the system's recovery feature and restoring the computer to
before the problem started, but it tells me the recovery can't complete.
Is there a way to search recently deleted files (gone from the recycle bin)
& see if the file was accidentally deleted? I did a hard drive search for
*.pst files, and got no returns.
I'm using Windows ME on a hewlett-packard machine.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks, but the file is missing. It's not a matter of importing or exporting
it - I already looked for it.
Thanks,
Darcie

Hi,
please read this article to find your pst file.
Please be sure that you have activate the Option "Show hidden files and
folders"
under Windows Explorer | TOOLS | FOLDER OPTIONS | VIEW
