calculations in tables
i have created a form in Word, therefore need to "lock-
down" the document. The issue I am having is that my form contains a table requiring calculations. once i lock down the form, customers using the form can not drop in numbers to allow the calculations automatically fill in. additionally, the calculations i would like to include in the table seem restricted to only numeric formulas. can i name other cells in part of the calculation? with that said, i used an Excel table instead of a Word table for the calculations requiring other cells, but when i put on the lock, the table is not accessible by customers. can you help me identify a solution? thanks! calculations in tables
Hi Beth,
If your customers need to insert data into the table, you'll either have to provide formfields for them to do that with, or put the table in an unprotected section of the document. As for what you can do with table formulae, take a look at: http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...&Number=365442 (url all one line) Cheers "Beth" wrote in message ... i have created a form in Word, therefore need to "lock- down" the document.
