Deleting Inbox message and attachment
I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6514.5000) SP2 MSO
(12.0.6529.5000) under MS Vista Home Premium Ver 6.0.6002 SP2. I have received an e-mail from a trusted source which has a 2 MB attachment of a *.pps file. Every time I try to open this attachment (double-click) or merely select (click) on this message, Outlook quits responding (per Task Manager). So, I have tried unsuccessfully to delete this message, each time "not responding." I need help. I have no problem opening other *.pps files in Outlook using Slide Show. How do I delete this message and its attachment? |

Offhand I'd say the message was not downloaded correctly. Try repairing the
PST file with the "SCANPST.EXE" utility (found in "\Programs Files\Microsoft Office\Office12") and see if it helps in deleting the message. Outlook must be closed for running the repair utility.
