Synchronizing Outlook 2010 and a Windows Mobile smartphone
I'm running Windows 7 64-bits (French version). I found that after installing
Office 2010 64-bits (also French version), the Windows Mobile Data center will no longer "see" the synchronization partnership. After searching for a solution, I found out that WMDC will *not* be upgraded to support 64-bit Outlook, which is a totally stupid decision. Is this decision final, or will someone come to their senses in the foreseeable future? In the meantime, is it possible to install Outlook 2010 32-bits and the rest of the Office 2010 components in 64-bits? Thank you. |

You can contact Microsoft Support directly to ask them for an official
statement and open a case so you can track the progress on it or submit a feature request (64-bit support). For feature requests no support charges will apply. And no, you cannot mix 32-bit and 64-bit when it comes to Office components. You'll have to use everything in 32-bit or everything in 64-bit. Note that the current benefit of 64-bit Office is pretty much limited to having large file support (2GB) for Excel and Access. In pretty much any other case it is recommended to stick with the 32-bit versions. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "PSZ" wrote in message news I'm running Windows 7 64-bits (French version).
