Default shared contacts between users?

We are running Exchange Server 2000 with Outlook 2003.

I have created a "user" for each project name in our office as a dumping
ground for emails, a shared calendar, and shared contacts. I have given
everyone access to view and edit the emails, calendar, and contacts for this
user and everyone can get to it just fine from Outlook.

The problem is integration of the Contacts from this "user" into each
person's Address Book. When this "user" was a public folder, I could
right-click, select properties, and add the contacts to the current Address
Book. But, as a "user", I cannot do that; the choice is not available.

Any thoughts?

We basically want to have a team calendar, email, and contacts list that is
sharable and editable by all users. We also want to be able to send out
meeting requests and add this team "user" as a resource, thus it goes
automatically into the team calendar. So far, as I have it set up, all of
this works except for the contacts sharing into the Address Book.

The process of adding another user's Contacts folder to your own address
book display is somewhat involved:

1. Start with a profile that logs directly onto the other user's mailbox,
not your own.

2. On the Properties dialog for the other user's Contacts folder, make sure
that it's set to display in the Outlook Address Book and give it a display
name other than contacts, such as Joe's Contacts.

3. Close Outlook.

4. In Control Panel | Mail, edit the *same profile* to change the mailbox
from the other user's to your own. On the Advanced tab of the Exchange
Server service, add the other user's mailbox as a secondary mailbox.

5. Restart Outlook, and you should see the Joe's Contacts in your Outlook
Address Book as well as your own Contacts folder.
