Outlook 2003 Archived items auto restoring on app startup

I have Outlook 2003 on a domain machine and I get mail from Exchange 2000. I
have archived my old email to my local machine (so it wouldn't be removed due
to retention policy). Last week we rebooted Exchange after a security
update, and as soon as it came back up, my archived items started to
automatically return to my inbox. I let the process finish, then turned my
machine off. BUT, Each and everytime I restart Outlook, the archived items
start cycling back in as new mail. HELP!!!! (I have over 15,000 archived
emails)

Do you see these items as well when you connect to your mailbox with OWA? If
so than it sounds like your ost-file has become corrupted. Remoev the
messages through OWA and rename your ost file to .old. Start Outlook again
and have it resynch with your Exchange server.
