Word lockout
I am using a trial copy of Office 2003 and as of today I
am unable to create a new document or augment an existing one. I receive the message that the document is locked.

The trial version only works for 60 days, after which you have to buy it
if you want to keep using it. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831023 "How to convert a Office 2003 Trial Edition to a Full Retail Edition".
