Default outlook archives unread email/POP3 expiry??

Hi

Is it possible to stop outlook from archiving email I haven't read?

I've set it to move mail after 3 days to Archive folders, inbox, sent, etc, but I'm sometimes unable to check mail when away working and would like to know it isn't being archived and overlooked on my return. I can't predict whether I'll be away for 2/3 days/weeks, so would prefer not to alter the 'length' of the archive rule, just to specify not to move unread email.

ALSO...

My pop3 account expires after 3 months of non use; my mail from my website goes there and is then forwarded to my outlook account, so does this count as inactivity as I'm not directly logging into it, or does it recognise that mail is passing through it?

Many thanks,

Andrew

PS this website has saved me at least 4 'chuck toys out of pram' incidents in a week!!
