Default delay to begin searching ctrl shift F

Hello

When I find using ctrl shift f on "local folders" pasting an email adress in
To field.
It takes some seconds to start searching....
is that normal?

May I speed up searches in any way?
I use to check the date field to minimize the search time but is not great
help...
