Default template problem - Sample presentation slides (Blue-green wave des

I downloaded the above mentioned template from the microsoft templates area
for PowerPoint. I am using PP version 2002 wit SP3. I created a
presentation on my laptop using the template and it works fine. When I tried
opening the file on my desktop computer, the slide image is in a nonstop
redraw loop. If I select another window to be active, I can see the redraw
stop in the background but when I click back in to PP it starts to redraw and
I can do very little in the program. I downloaded some other templates on
that computer and they work fine, but when I downloaded the blue-green wave
one directly to the computer it has the same problem.
I hope someone has some ideas about this.

Aaron,

I think powerpoint slideshows only work when they are "active"....If they
are not the "current" window they stop

What version of PowerPoint do you have on the desktop computer? When did you
last check for a more current video driver on that system? What make and model
is your video card?

I have the exact same problem as Aaron - works on laptop and not on
desktop. I am using PP 2003
with a Dell Dimension XPS, 2G of ram as my desktop machine. I've
noticed it with files with lots
of images that I have inserted.

Have you checked the manufacturer's website for an updated video driver?
