Default Business Contact Manager 2003

Hi, I need help. Every time I try to install this, I get
the message:

Error 2835: Setup failed to configure the server, refer
to the server error log and setup log for more
information.

There is a Knowledge Base Article and supposed fix for
this #840018:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;840018&Product=off2003

but I have followed the instructions in it exactly and it
still will not install. Since I am a student and
apparently Microsoft thinks I did not pay enough for this
software by using my student discount, I am not eligible
for Installation Tech Support. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks,
Nevin
