Default No Send To in the File menu

I have OE6 on an XP/Home system.

I am running MS Office 97.

I noticed that the Send To email recipient is missing from the File menu,
although it has Fax and Power Point. Power point has the email recipient
but does not do anything.

If I right click on a document from the explorer I get a send to option that
works fine.

I have followed all instructions in KB article 306098. OE is my default
email and MAPI. Any thought how to get the send to back in the Word file
menu? BTW, the Send To option is not even in my Excel file menu.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Everything else seems to work fine. Spell checker, I.E., etc. The
only thing that does not seem to work properly is the send to function from
the file menu.

Long shot: Do you have this Registry key?...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software
\Microsoft
\WAB
\WAB4

If not, STOP; If so, is there a DWORD named UseOutlook and is its value set
to 1 (one)?

If not, STOP; If so, Address Book is configured to share contacts with
Outlook, even if you don't use it (can happen with the install of Office).
Change the value to 0 (zero) and see if things improve. (If that DWORD is
not present, don't create it, and don't alter any other DWORD values.)

Note that any changes (additions, deletions, edits) made while sharing was
enabled will not be available (displayed) in Address Book when sharing is
disabled.

I have that registry key but do NOT have that dword. There is a dword in
that registry key labeled firstrun that is set to 1, as well as 2 other
dwords but not the UseOutlook dword.

Did you upgrade to WinXP, Joe? From which Windows version? Did this
problem exist in the earlier version(s)?

Office, especially Office 97, has a well-known tendency to "break" Registry
values associated with your problem, Joe. I know you posted earlier that OE
was set as your default but humor me and:
