Default Just switched from Express to Outlook & can't send/receive email.

I just switched from Outlook express to Outlook and am unable to send or
receive email. Also the Send/Receive button is missing from the toolbar.
Plus, when I went to send a test message from a particular "Account" (I have
two email accounts) after I selected the email account, I got a "fatal error
occurred with Outlook" type dialog box, but Outlook didn't close, just no
email sent.

What I did: I exported my addresses and emails from express to Outlook.
Couldn't send/receive mail (but send/receive button was there originally).

So I went to Tool, Email Account, and set up and re setup my two email
accounts. Both accounts tested fine when I clicked on "Test Email account
settings" (or whatever that tool is). I also rechecked my settings compared
to my other laptop and my other computer has no problems.

Should I ixnay this outlook & reinstall? I'm pretty computer savvy and am
frustrated that I can't figure this out. What am I missing?

Did you import the accounts from OE? Try creating new ones using control
panel, mail, profiles.
