master categories list
Using Outlook 98 on my old PC, over the years I created several custom
categories for organising my contacts. Now I have a new PC with Outlook 2003. On the old PC I exported my contacts to another pst file, copied this file to the new PC, and temporarily added it as an additional data file to my Outlook 2003. I then copied all the contacts to my main Outlook 2003 Contacts folder and finally closed the temporary pst file. So far, all has worked fine. My contacts retain their categories, by which they can be sorted, etc. The problem is that when I create a new contact and try to define its categories, my custom categories do not appear in the list with check boxes (which I think is called the master category list); only the default categories are listed. I can type in the category name, and this assigns the category correctly. However, as I frequently need to add new contacts and change the categories to which existing contacts are assigned, I would really like all my custom categories to appear with check boxes. Is there a way of adding my custom categories to the master category list, other than typing them in one at a time in the Categories dialog box? |
