I have a table and I am formating it with a Table Style.
Most of it works fine, but when I try to change the font for the Table
Style, it does not apply it to the text within the table, it stayes the
same!

I revealed the formating, and I see that the text uses a Paragraph Style
and uses this font, which makes kinda sence.

Is it somehow possible to override this settings, so that the Table Style
font information is used, instead of the Paragraph Style. Why is the font
available in the Table Style Formating Property Dialog, when it does not
actually work? That makes no sence ;-).

Try selecting the table (or the empty paragraph just before you create a
table) and apply the "Normal" style to it. This should allow the font
settings you chose for the table to "shine through".

I'd consider that a bug, or at least a very strange design. It definitely
is a good reason not to customize the Normal style.

I've been experiencing with Word 2003 table styles.

Rhetorical question: if I can't adjust the font of
Normal, how do I get my colleagues to use Body Text
instead of Normal?

I'll answer anyway.

I've found that a good fully charged cattle prod works wonders!

Seriously, if you have a template with pre-designed styles, a good toolbar
with the styles users need well laid out often encourages them to use the
said styles.

sometimes feels like I'm herding cows when trying to get
